Green Police

Did you catch Audi’s new “Green Police” ad during yesterday’s Super Bowl. (Congratulations, Saints!) What do you think? Is it mocking the environmental movement? Or is it using humor to make a point about the growing importance of sustainable issues?
Obviously the real goal of the Green Police ads is to sell Americans on the sporty, 42 mpg/32 mpg Audi A3 TDI. In December, the “clean-diesel” pulled off a Saints-like upset to win the Green Car Journal’s Green Car of the Year award over the heavily favored Prius. Maybe the folks over at Green Car knew something about the Prius that the rest of us didn’t … . Tell us what you think of both the ad and the car.
