Greenbagpromos.com, a provider of eco-friendly promotional items, has unveiled it’s patent-pending Ship-n-Tote, a shipping envelope designed to convert to a backpack. Call it built-in upcycling, as opposed to built-in obsolescence. From the site: “None of the packaging is discarded, it simply becomes a useful tote bag consumers will use for years.”

I love the idea, but I have immediate questions: Would people use it? Would it really last for “years”? And would anybody need more than one?
