THINK Electric Car: On U.S. Streets in 2010?
by Rick on May 11, 2010
The THINK electric car company just received a $40 million “battery charge” – an equity investment designed to help the company increase product development and launch in the United States. The Norwegian automaker plans to start selling the THINK City EV in the US in 2010 and will begin manufacturing the vehicle in Elkhart, Indiana, in Q1 2011. The car boasts a top speed of 65 mph and a single-charge range of 110 miles.
The THINK City is already available in Austria, the Netherlands, and, of course, Norway, the country with more electric cars per capita than “just about anywhere else in the world.” Norway even has a Green Car Map showing distribution, use and make of EV cars.
